Welcome, literary agents!
Thanks for your interest in the draft of How To WIN Hide And Seek. The 4-6 age range is serious about playing games, is competitive, and struggles with sportsmanship. This book steers kids into an immediate game, ignites a spark for physical play, and promotes independence and problem-solving skills. Softly including some fair play lessons for the “pandemic babies” now entering Kindergarten has proven to be well-received by kids and helps us all have a fun game after reading.
While I seek representation for the book, I am also strategizing and creating content for future social promotions and, hopefully, this preparation makes me an attractive partner for any agent or publisher – I’ve leveraged friends and clients in advertising, PR, digital marketing, and filmmaking to give this title a huge push.
Up next is How To Get In and Out of Trouble – half of the book is getting into trouble (hilarious) and then half is how to say you’re sorry (fragile and sweet), navigating big feelings of shame and embarrassment. How To Make Funny Noises and Silly Faces is, well, just a lot of fun, and may become a giveaway lead for social; we’ll see. I hope to have a chance to discuss the whole How To for Kids series and marketing plans with you. Please do get in touch for a conversation. Thanks,
Kate
